Looking forward to the 2017-18 Season

It’s October which means PuckShots is in full swing as we’re through our first dozen teams. We thought we’d share what’s new coming into the 2017-18 season…

New Website

This year we decided to freshen up our website. It’s a minor face-lift to the appearance but a dramatic improvement under the hood in terms of performance and security. So far the changeover has been mostly seamless.

Online Only Mostly

The majority of parents now order online. To the point now where we sometimes are driving to an arena to collect a couple orders in-person. And as much as we love seeing all your smiling faces, PuckShots shoots over 100 teams a year, so any hours and milage saved is appreciated. With this in mind, we’ve applied a 10% discount to all online purchases. If you’d like the discount but don’t like to order online, we’re also offering the 10% discount on all over-the-phone purchases.

Pay our Pals

Another change we’re making is offering a $2 discount on Interac e-Transfers. As long as we’re paying a per-transaction fee to PayPal why not let our customers keep it? So if you order online (or over the phone) and pay via Interac e-Transfer, you’ll spend less on photos this year!

New Hockey Cards

If you follow us on Facebook or Instagram, you’ll know we’ve completely re-designed our hockey cards. The front, rather than being a miniature version of your photo, takes on a completely new look while we’re also utilizing the back shot on the back of the card, also re-designed.

New (and Old) Partners

The aforementioned hockey cards are printed by local hockey people, Citi Centre Print. If you’re a team manager looking for Roster Cards, give Rob and Sharon Tilson a shout! Their Roster Cards are great quality (basically a thinner version of our hockey cards) and the team-specific templates they use look extremely sharp!

We also use Primary Foto Source for all photo development. Their quality, speed and service is outstanding!

Buzzy’s Jerzee City is back handling all your sponsor plaque needs. It’s super convenient! Just contact Kurt Busniuk and let him know what you need, he gives us a call and we email him the digital files he needs. You just pick up your plaques when they’re done.

And our newest partner, with an idea I wish I would have patented, is Integral Hockey. Did your kid break that $200-$300 stick already? Integral Hockey can repair it at a portion of the cost. It’ll be just as strong and the weight difference is negligible. Call Don Nadon about pricing on repairs as well as refurbished sticks.
